Who I Am
My creative side has always lingered, but rediscovering it was a huge part of my life.
As a child I was lucky enough to have access to stickers, types and different textures of paper, hundreds of paints and colored pencils. In high school I started selling paintings for fundraising money for a volunteer trip through IB CAS. I took tiles that my family was storing underneath the barn because canvases along with the price of everything during COVID-19 escalated.
I painted on the tiles and sold them at my moms farm events and ultimately made enough money to fund my trip. I found that I enjoyed painting but still wanted to go for exercise science for my Bachelor's degree. Ultimately I figured out that exercise science is not what brought me joy. I wanted to pursue a career in art and sat in for a few graphic design classes. I loved it! I then chose graphic design as my major and decided to minor in media production.
Going in completely blind I didn't have any idea what to expect. I learned to love film and photo production, and so I made journalism and broadcasting my second major. I just graduated with a double major at SUNY Brockport in the spring of 2025 and I will continue to further my education this coming fall of 2025 l at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I am ecstatic to what this next chapter of my life will look like as I continue to grow as a designer and person.
